About AMCHA Deutschland

amcha comes from Hebrew and means: You are from us. It was also a code word for Jewish victims of the Shoah to recognize each other. The name thus expresses what AMCHA has stood for for over 30 years: recognition of suffering, solidarity with survivors, community to help.

Remember, but don’t forget the survivors. We have been supporting AMCHA Israel’s humanitarian aid and the public and professional discussion of the Holocaust, but also other collective experiences of violence, since 1988. We also advise and network stakeholders in these subject areas.
